Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel In Running (And Currently In Lead) For America’s ‘Best Waterfront Hotel’

O’Mara, Palmesano: Area residents to vote online, daily, in USA Today contest

Watkins Glen, N.Y.—State Senator Tom O’Mara (R,C,I-Big Flats) and Assemblyman Phil Palmesano (R,C,I-Corning) today noted residents throughout the Finger Lakes and Southern Tier regions can vote for the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel in USA Today’s online competition to decide “America’s Best Waterfront Hotel.”

The Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel in Schuyler County is currently leading out of 20 nationwide finalists for the 2016 designation. The competition runs until Monday, August 1st at noon.

In a joint statement, O’Mara and Palmesano said, “Schuyler County’s been on quite a roll in these USA Today competitions and once again we have an opportunity to keep the Finger Lakes region on the national map! The Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel is the only regional hotel in the running and currently in the lead among a truly prestigious collection of best waterfront hotels in America. We’re proud that we can help rally support for one of our own. We hope everyone will keep voting once a day, every day, from now until August 1st.”

According to USA Today, voters are allowed to vote once every 24 hours from every Internet-capable device they have.
