Pheffer Amato Honors the Newest Lions Club in Queens

South Queens, NY – Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-South Queens) helped make history last week by presenting personalized certificates to over 100 new inductees of the newly created local Lions Club-The Ozone Park Howard Beach Woodhaven Lions Club. The induction ceremony has been praised as one of the largest events in Lions history.

“Local Lions Clubs are amazing community partners who are truly dedicated to community service. I was proud to celebrate and honor each Lion with a personalized award and share this moment with their families,” said Assemblywoman Pheffer Amato.

The ceremony occurred during the monthly meeting of the Ozone Park Residents Block Association, organized by Sam Esposito and the Executive Board. During the monthly meeting, the Assemblywoman also presented Certificates of Merit to officers of the 102 and 106 Police Precinct to thank them for their ongoing commitment to public safety. “Every month the OZPKRBA organizes a great meeting where we are able to speak and come together to discuss issues in our community. This is a fantastic example of community partnership and I’m proud of everyone involved,” said Pheffer Amato
