Pheffer Amato Honors New Eagle Scouts of Troop 147

South Queens, NY New York State Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-South Queens) honored 3 young men of Boy Scout Troop 147 with Senator Joseph P. Addabbo as they ascended to the role of Eagle Scout.

The ceremony, which occurred at the Knights of Columbus, included the lighting of the candles, the recitation of the Boy Scout Oath, along with each scout speaking about their personal project which benefited the community. Upon the completion of the speeches, each scout was elevated to the rank of Eagle Scout. Assemblywoman Pheffer Amato and Senator Addabbo presented personalized citations to honor the newly minted Eagle Scouts.

“This is our future,” beamed the Assemblywoman. “These young men embody the best of the American spirit through their commitment to their country and community. Through their continued hard work and with the support from their families, they have achieved this amazing honor. When I see these Scouts, I know our community is in good hands.”
