Pheffer Amato Brings Queens Resident Program for the Cross Bay Bridge

Queens, NY - New York State Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato has kept her promise as it was announced that the full enactment of the Queens Resident Toll Rebate Program for the Cross Bay Veterans Memorial Bridge would be implemented within the first quarter of 2024.

“Promises made, promises kept! After years of hard work and perseverance, my constituents from Lindenwood, Howard Beach, Hamilton Beach and Ozone Park will no longer be penalized! Through the legislation I passed with Senator Addabbo, Queens residents who utilize the New York E-Zpass program and register for the program will get full access to their entire borough, especially the Rockaway Peninsula. Finally, the MTA and the Governor have listened and are implementing the removal of a barrier to secure economic opportunities for everyone in Queens,” said Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato.

Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato and Senator Joseph Addabbo were solely responsible for passing legislation securing the funding for the rebate program. Under the program, the MTA will reimburse Queens residents on trips they make via the Cross Bay Bridge. Further details on eligibility can be found at the MTA’s website, www.mta.info. The program is expected to begin in February 2024.
