Pheffer Amato Tours B’Nos Bais Yaakov Yeshiva for Girls

Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Far Rockaway) this past Thursday, May 25th, toured B’Nos Bais Yaakov, an established and well-respected Yeshiva for girls in Far Rockaway. Bnos Bais Yaakov serves girls from nursery school through twelfth grade.

“B’Nos Bais Yaakov is known far and wide an educational institution of the highest caliber, and after meeting their students and staff, it’s no wonder,” said Pheffer Amato. “Students consistently progress to higher learning, and go on to serve as professionals in many fields, as well as becoming leaders in their communities.

“It was my honor to host a delegation of these energetic and clearly driven girls and their teachers a month ago in Albany,” Pheffer Amato continued. “Their questions were amazing, and I have no doubt leadership is in their future. BBY (as we call it around here) employs over 230 professionals, the school’s programs are diverse, and they have a fantastic Resource Center, which provides academic and developmental support to ensure that all students receive the help needed to achieve, as well as mental health and early-intervention services.

“I want to extend my warmest thanks for the invitation to the entire administration, especially Rabbis Blumenkrantz and Schwartz, and to wish a wonderful year and future success on the students of BBY,” she continued. “We come from a special corner of the world, and that’s thanks in no small part to the culture of service and leadership instilled by the Yeshiva and by the wonderful people who work there.”
