Assemblywoman Pheffer Amato Seeks Nominations for Women of Distinction

1st Annual awards ceremony to recognize women in the community

Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-South Queens) announced the opening of nominations for her 2018 Women of Distinction Awards to recognize the incredible women who are going above and beyond to strengthen South Queens and create a brighter future for all. Awards will be given for work in various fields, including health care, business, volunteer work, humanitarian work, education and military service. Winners will be honored at an awards ceremony in late March, location to be determined.

“This March, let’s not only celebrate Women’s History Month by honoring the women of the past who broke down barriers, but also recognize women of today who are inspiring others and working hard to put our community on a better path,” said Pheffer Amato. “There will never be enough ways to thank them, but these Women of Distinction Awards are part of how we can show our appreciation.”

Assemblywoman Pheffer Amato requests that nominations for the 2018 Women of Distinction Awards be submitted by March 16th. Contact the Assemblywoman’s office for a nomination form, which can be returned by email to amatos@nyassembly.gov or by fax to 718-945-9549.
