Pheffer Amato Continues Senior Action Network

South Queens, New York – This past week Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-South Queens) continued her bi-monthly Senior Action Network meetings. The purpose of the network is to allow our Senior Citizens to have a greater voice within the community and ultimately New York State. Pheffer Amato explained that this meeting is necessary to ensure that South Queens continues to get their fair share of services and updated information for those most vulnerable. Network members include (but are not limited to): local elected officials, senior groups/organizations, government agencies working with seniors, NYPD, FDNY, and community organizations who serve senior citizens.

“My job in Albany is to represent residents of the 23rd Assembly District, and a high concentration of those residents, are seniors- so it’s crucial to always have an open line of communication,” said Pheffer Amato. “Our Seniors in South Queens are engaged, care for our community, and their awareness of local, state and national issues are second to none. I’m excited for the opportunity to work with organizations who serve our senior citizens!”
