Pheffer Amato Women of Distinction Event: “Huge Success!”

South Queens, New York- Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-South Queens) this past weekend April 7th honored seven women at her 2018 Women of Distinction (WOD) event. The WOD award is meant to recognize the incredible women who are going above and beyond to strengthen Queens and create a brighter future for all. Pheffer Amato announced in early March the opening of nominations for the WOD award and received over 30 nominations in the span of four weeks. The honorees included: Maria Asaro, Felicia Johnson, Maureen McGee, Lisa Neumann, Marie Persans, Sophia Skeans, Elizabeth Stoehr.

“This Saturday we honored and recognized the dedicated women of our community who are inspiring others and working hard to put our neighborhoods on a better path- I am so proud to honor each of these women who have made tremendous contributions to make our community a better place,” said Pheffer Amato. “Maria, Felicia, Maureen, Lisa, Marie, Sophia, and Elizabeth THANK YOU!
