Pheffer Amato, Ocean Park Tenants Association and Borough President's Office Distribute Food, Masks, and Hand Sanitizer

South Queens, New York – Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Far Rockaway) partnered with Queens Borough President Sharon Lee, and the Ocean Park Tenants Association to distribute food, masks, and hand sanitizer to residents of the apartment complex.

“Food insecurity throughout this community was a problem before the pandemic began, now it’s been exacerbated, and our neighbors need help. It meant a lot to be able to do my part of help some of the most vulnerable in our community secure their next few meals,” said Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato. “I want to thank the office of Queens Borough President Sharon Lee, and the Ocean Park Tenants Association for partnering with me. Events like these reinforce the best in our community, we’re neighbors helping neighbors during a time of great need.”

The food for this event was secured by the Queens Borough President’s Office through a partnership with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and Fresh Direct. Pheffer Amato has distributed masks and hand sanitizer to every part of her district.
