Assemblyman Hawley Celebrates West Point Day

Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R,I,C-Batavia) recently celebrated West Point Day at the State Capitol and had the honor of speaking with United States Military Academy Dean of the Academic Board Brigadier General Timothy Trainor, who was joined by a group of currently-enrolled cadets. Hawley, a devout supporter of the Armed Forces and ranking minority member of the Assembly Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, spoke to the sacrifices made by the servicemen and women in attendance.

“Military service is as honorable a path as an American can embark on, and General Trainor is doing tremendous work preparing our next generation of heroes,” said Hawley. “Western New York has an illustrious history of service, and carrying on that tradition is something many of our families take great pride in. We will never waiver in our support of our veterans and servicemen and women, and I thank all of the cadets and personnel for attending West Point Day, bringing true heroism and courage to the halls of the Capitol.”
