Hawley Reflects On Independence Day, Encourages Constituents to Be Safe, Spend Time with Family & Friends

Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R,C,I-Batavia) issues comments on the 4th of July Holiday

“Independence Day commemorates our county’s conception as an independent nation and is at the core of our patriotism and the foundation of America’s values. Our nation was founded on liberty and freedom, and we must never forget the brave men and women who stood in the face of tyranny to give birth to our great nation. Furthermore, it is important that we take time this long holiday weekend to reflect on the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedom and way of life throughout time.

“I want to encourage all my constituents, and all New Yorkers, to enjoy time outside at a barbeque or by the swimming pool along with those who mean the most in your life. If you choose to use fireworks, please do so safely and responsibly. But most of all have fun and enjoy this special time of year!
