Good Cause Eviction (A.4454 of 2024) legislation would prevent a landlord from evicting a tenant without “good cause.” Good cause includes things like nonpayment of rent, nuisance or property damage, using the premises for an illegal purpose, or illegally preventing the landlord from accessing the property.
