Jim Tedisco and the Assembly Minority Conference are fighting to
deliver real tax relief for all New Yorkers. Their Road to Reform plan would reinvigorate New
York’s economy by providing incentives for people and businesses to move and stay here.
Here’s just some of what their plan would do:
Deliver Property Tax Rebate Checks: Provide an additional $2.6 billion in tax relief
in 2007 and $3.4 billion in 2008, for a total of $6 billion. This proposal triples the tax
rebate checks this year and quadruples next year’s rebates.
Help Businesses Create Jobs: Reduce taxes and regulations placed
on businesses to spur our economy and create jobs.
Debt Reform: Eliminate all borrowing (debt) not first approved by voters and
require "Truth in Borrowing" to provide greater accountability and transparency for
taxpayers.
