Assembly Minority Conference Launches New
"Stop Government Waste" Website:
www.stopgovernmentwasteny.com
New website features on-line reporting tools that allow taxpayers and state employees to anonymously report the waste of taxpayer dollars

Albany, NY - As part of their continued fight to prevent the loss of millions in taxpayer dollars that occurs annually through waste, fraud and abuse, Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,I,C-Canandaigua) and the Assembly Minority Conference today announced the launch of a new website - www.stopgovernmentwasteny.com - that will aid taxpayers and state employees in reporting any waste of taxpayer dollars.

The site will seek the direct input of taxpayers and state employees who can anonymously report wasteful acts they have witnessed, or of which they have become aware. Kolb and the Assembly Minority Conference will then publicize the reports, submit them to the Administration, and seek non-partisan legislative remedies to rectify the problems to ensure greater fiscal accountability and responsibility in state government. The website - www.stopgovernmentwasteny.com - is now live and some of its features include:

"Our state faces another multi-billion dollar budget deficit. If ever there was a time when we needed to ensure that the taxpayer's hard-earned money is not wasted, now is that time. We are asking all New York taxpayers to help us in this effort," Kolb said.

"This new website is one of many things our Conference will be doing this session to prevent waste, fraud and abuse in government. Our focus will be non-partisan - in tough times like these, we need New Yorkers of all political affiliations suited up and on the field in the fight against waste, fraud and abuse of public monies," Kolb concluded.
