Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C,I,Ref-Canandaigua) On The Passing Of U.S. Senator John McCain

Sen. John McCain exemplified all the best parts of what makes America so special. His strength of character, incredible commitment to service and unyielding drive to make our democracy stronger were unparalleled. Few have served our nation with greater distinction, dedication or decency.

Throughout his life, he epitomized what it means to be a patriot and public servant. As a Navy pilot, Vietnam war hero and United States Senator, John McCain's highest priority was always protecting our nation's ideals and the interests of the American people.

On behalf of my family and our Conference, I want to extend my sincerest sympathies to Sen. McCain's loved ones. His courageous voice and moral compass will be greatly missed.
