Statement On The Death Of Assemblywoman Sandra Lee Wirth

The loss of my colleague and dear friend Sandra Lee Wirth is a tremendous blow. Sandra's quiet strength, courage and determination in her valiant struggle were a source of admiration and respect for those of us who had the privilege and good fortune to know her.

Sandra represented her constituents with a fiery passion and an unwavering belief that 'elected officials are first and foremost, public servants.' She greeted all with whom she came in contact with as friend.

Her warmth, compassion and commitment to service will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences go out to her family.
