Agency Mission

The Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) was created to administer the post-1980 Winter Olympic Program for the facilities in Lake Placid and the surrounding region. In 1984, the Authority's responsibilities were expanded to include management of the Gore Mountain Ski Center in Warren County. ORDA hosts numerous national and international athletic and entertainment events.

Year-to-Year Change

The Executive proposal increases ORDA's budget by 5.7 percent from State Fiscal Year 2000-01 with a General Fund increase of $452,000.

Legislative Changes

Reduce State Operations Funding. $(3,200,000)   ST/GEN

The Assembly plan rejects funding for one-time costs included in the enacted 2000-01 budget that the Executive has incorporated into ORDA's base budget.
