Agency Mission
The Executive Chamber is the Office of the Governor of the State and includes the immediate staff that assists in developing Executive policies.
Year-to-Year Change
The Executive proposes a State Operations General Fund appropriation of $16,089,400, an increase of $3,713,400, representing a 30 percent increase from State Fiscal Year (SFY) 1998-1999 level. This increase represents the following initiatives:
-- $3,502,000 for the Executive Chamber to provide funds for the continuing improvements for the chamber's computers and related technologies. Funding is also provided to support costs associated with the Moreland Act Commission for the investigation of the management and administrative practices of the New York City school system and the New York City School Construction Authority (SCA), and the laws, regulations and procedures relating thereto.
-- $211,400 for annualization of year negotiated salary increases.
