Agency Mission
The mission of the Department of Military and Naval Affairs (DMNA) is to support a well-trained military force ready to respond to civil emergencies and natural disasters and to coordinate the State's response to natural and man-made disasters through the leadership of the State Office of Emergency Management.
Year-to-Year Change
The Executive requests $69,232,500 to fund the Department of Military and Naval Affairs (DMNA) for SFY 1999-00. This amount represents a net decrease of $256,530,900 over SFY 98-99. This decrease reflects a reduction in the Federal Aid to Localities Emergency Assistance appropriation authority related to last year's ice storms.
Legislative Changes
The Assembly makes no changes to the Executive's proposal.
