Agency Mission
The Consumer Protection Board (CPB) assists consumers in the State of New York by seeking to prevent fraudulent actions in all aspects of the economy. The efforts of the Consumer Protection Board can be broken down into three broad categories: (1) utility rate intervention, (2) consumer advocacy, and (3) energy regulation.
Year-to-Year Change
The Executive requests $2,791,400 for SFY 1999-2000. This amount represents a decrease of $21,700 from SFY 1998-99 representing the net change of annualization of current year negotiated salary increases and elimination of funded vacancies and an early retirement incentive.
Legislative Changes
The Assembly makes no changes to the Executive's proposal.
