Agency Mission
The Council on Children and Families facilitates the development of strategies to remove barriers to service delivery and provides a forum for the resolution of interagency issues affecting children and families. In carrying out this mission, the Council oversees funding simplification, coordinates interagency oversight and the elimination of duplicative requirements, assists in accessing services for children with special needs, and coordinates planning among agencies involved in early childhood services.
Year-to-Year Change
The Governor recommends an All Funds increase of $132,000, or 8.20 percent, for a total agency appropriation of $1,742,000 in State Fiscal Year (SFY) 1999-2000.
