Agency Mission
The Judicial Commissions budget consist of two distinct commissions, the Commission on Judicial Conduct and the Commission on Judicial Nomination. This budget also includes the Governor's Judicial Screening Committees. The Commission on Judicial Conduct investigates complaints of misconduct against State judges and local justices. The Commission on Judicial Nomination is responsible for evaluating candidates and making recommendations to the Governor for appointments to the Court of Appeals. The Governor's Judicial Screening Committees evaluate the qualifications of candidates and make recommendations to the Governor for appointments to fill judicial vacancies other than those on the Court of Appeals.

The Executive proposes an overall increase to the Judicial Commissions of $51,600 or 2.5 percent.
