Agency Mission
The New York State Thruway Authority is responsible for the operation of a 641-mile toll-highway system, along with the 524-mile New York State Canal System. The Canal Development Program is the only Thruway program reflected in the Executive Budget. All other Thruway and Canal System programs are supported by an Authority Fund and are not reflected in the Executive Budget.
Year-to-Year Change
The Executive proposes funding of $2,000,000 for State Fiscal Year (SFY) 1999-2000, the same amount as SFY 1998-99.
