Assembly Letter to NY Congressional Delegation Urges COVID-19 Small Biz Assistance

Throughout June, the New York State Assembly held a series of regional hearings regarding the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the small business community. In response, Assemblymember Al Stirpe, chair of the small business committee, Assemblymember Donna Lupardo, chair of the agriculture committee and Assemblymember Nily Rozic, chair of the office of state-federal relations sent a letter to the New York State Congressional Delegation with their findings. The hearing included small business owners who testified about challenges surrounding childcare as businesses reopening and difficulty securing federal aid, including the Paycheck Protection Program and other loans through the federal Small Business Administration.
