“The self serving statements contained in the press release issued by Fulton County Economic Development Corporation is not a substitute for documents and direct statements by the affected parties. There is little comfort in knowing that the compensation in any given year was $500,000 rather than $900,000. The Committee will continue its inquiry. We also believe that our request for a formal investigation by the Authorities Budget Office will give us additional information into the practices of these entities. The stonewalling should stop, the documents, should be produced, and the persons involved should be made available for public question and answer.”
