TITLE OF BILL:
 
An act to amend the public health law, in relation to the frequency of
submission of community health assessment reporting
 
 
PURPOSE:,:
 
To alter the frequency of submission of community health assessment
reporting to every six years.
 
 
SUMMARY:
 
Section 1. Establishes the scope of the study. Section 2. Sets the
effective date.
 
 
JUSTIFICATION:
 
The purpose of this legislation is to establish a community health
assessment in alignment with the state health improvement plan cycle and
no more frequently than every six years to allow county and municipal
health departments to effectively evaluate the health status and needs
of their communities.
