TITLE OF BILL:
 
An act to amend the public authorities law, in relation to eligibility
for paratransit services
 
 
PURPOSE:
 
The purpose of this bill is to ensure fare parity for NFTA Paratransit
Access Line passengers with respect to other users of the system.
 
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
 
Section one adds a new subdivision 8 to public authorities law section
1299-f to require fare parity for NFTA Paratransit Access Line passen-
gers with respect to other users of the system.
 
 
JUSTIFICATION:

Users of NFTA's systems who require paratransit should have fare equity
with other users.
 
 
LEGISLATIVE HISTORY:
 
This is a new bill.
 
 
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
 
To be determined.
 
 
EFFECTIVE DATE:
This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall have
become a law.
