MEMORANDUM IN SUPPORT OF LEGISLATION
submitted in accordance with Assembly Rule III, Sec 1(f)   BILL NUMBER: A3223A SPONSOR: Eachus (MS)
  TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the parks, recreation and historic preservation law, in relation to allowing veterans to fish for free in state parks   PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: To allow veterans to fish for free in state parks.   SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: This bill amends the parks, recreation and historic preservation law by adding a new section 13.14 which shall allow veterans of the armed forc- es of the United States to fish for free at all state parks under the jurisdiction of the office or other state agency.   JUSTIFICATION: Veterans have served our country and their compensation for service is minimal.
