TITLE OF BILL:
 
An act in relation to authorizing the assessor of the town of Ramapo,
county of Rockland, to accept an application for a real property tax
exemption from Yeshivas Nachlas Sofrim
 
 
PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL:
 
This act authorizes the assessor of the Town of Ramapo to accept an
application for a real property tax exemption from Yeshivas Nachlas
Sofrim Inc.
 
 
SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS:
 
Section 1: Authorizes the assessor of the town of Ramapo to accept an
application for exemption from real property taxes pursuant to section
420-a of the real property tax law with respect to the 2022 - 2023
assessment rolls for all of the 2022 - 2023 school taxes and all of the
2022- 2023 general taxes.
 
 
JUSTIFICATION:
 
Yeshivas Nachlas Sofrim Inc. is a not for profit tax exempt organization
that owns real property located in Rockland County at 66 Highview Road
in the, town of Ramapo.
