PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL:
To amend the state law, in relation to designating the state of New York
a purple heart state
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1. State law is amended by adding section 93. This designates
the state of New York as a Purple Heart State.
Section 2 establishes the effective date.
JUSTIFICATION:
This bill will designate New York State as a purple heart state,
enshrining into law our gratitude for the sacrifices made by wounded
veterans,

EFFECTIVE DATE:
This act shall take effect on the first of January next succeeding the
date upon which it shall have become a law. Effective immediately, the
addition, amendment, and/or repeal of any rule or regulation necessary
for the implementation of this act on its effective date are authorized
to be made and completed on or before such date.
