CONGRATULATING the Daldrop Group on the
groundbreaking of its new facility in Oswego County,
New York, on April 3, 2025
WHEREAS, It is with great pride that this Legislative Body
recognizes the groundbreaking of Daldrop Group's new manufacturing
facility in Oswego County, New York, on Tuesday, April 3, 2025, marking
a historic milestone in the company's growth and a major investment in
the region; and
WHEREAS, Daldrop SBB, a subsidiary of Daldrop Group, has selected
the L. Michael Treadwell Oswego County Industrial Park in Schroeppel,
New York, for its new manufacturing site, reinforcing Daldrop's
leadership in the cleanroom manufacturing industry and its ongoing
commitment to innovation in the pharmaceutical sector; and
WHEREAS, The new facility will represent the largest expansion
outside of Germany in Daldrop Group's 70-year history, further
solidifying the company's presence in the United States and contributing
to the region's growing prominence in high-tech manufacturing; and
WHEREAS, The state-of-the-art facility, which will span 40,000
square feet, will adhere to LEED construction standards and provide
cutting-edge manufacturing capabilities for Daldrop's SHELMEQ Cleanroom
systems, helping the pharmaceutical industry continue to deliver vital
medications to the market faster and more affordably; and
WHEREAS, The expansion is expected to create numerous employment
opportunities for local laborers, technicians, and engineers,
contributing to the growth of Oswego County and the broader central New
York region, while fostering the continued development of highly skilled
workers in cleanroom technology; and
WHEREAS, The successful realization of this expansion is supported
by the collaborative efforts of Empire State Development, Operation
Oswego County Inc., and CenterState CEO, as well as local workforce
development organizations such as Train, Develop, Optimize (TDO) and the
Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), which will work with
Daldrop to provide training and development programs for the new
facility's workforce; and
WHEREAS, Daldrop President of U.S. Operations, Mike Sullivan,
expressed his pride in bringing manufacturing jobs to upstate New York,
further emphasizing that Daldrop's expansion represents a continued
commitment to local communities and the partnership between global
leadership and regional economic development; and
WHEREAS, Daldrop's expansion and investment in the Syracuse area
serves as a testament to the company's commitment to innovation,
economic growth, and community development, while also enhancing the
region's global competitiveness in high-tech manufacturing; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the Daldrop Group on the groundbreaking of its new
manufacturing facility in Oswego County, and to express its full support
for the company's continued success and its positive impact on the local
community, economy, and workforce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Daldrop Group.
