TITLE OF BILL:
An act to amend chapter 81 of the laws of 1995, amending the public
health law and other laws relating to medical reimbursement and welfare
reform, in relation to extending the effectiveness of certain provisions
thereof
 
PURPOSE:
To extend various provisions of the public health law related to Limited
Licensed Home Care Services Agencies and ensure these critical health
care facilities can continue operating in New York State.
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1: Extends, subdivision 12 of section 246 of chapter 81 of the
laws of 1995, which relates to limited home care services agencies,
until June 30, 2025.
Section 2: Effective date
 
JUSTIFICATION:
This bill is necessary to ensure the continuation of specific laws of
critical importance to the Department of Health relating to limited
licensed home care services agencies in order to avoid the expiration of
those laws. Limited Licensed Home Care Services Agencies provide
personal care services, nursing supervision, intramuscular injections,
and other administrative tasks laid out in federal regulations and
require this bill to continue operation.

AN ACT to amend chapter 81 of the laws of 1995, amending the public
health law and other laws relating to medical reimbursement and
welfare reform, in relation to extending the effectiveness of certain
provisions thereof
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Subdivision 12 of section 246 of chapter 81 of the laws of
2 1995, amending the public health law and other laws relating to medical
3 reimbursement and welfare reform, as amended by chapter 186 of the laws
4 of 2021, is amended to read as follows:
5 12. Sections one hundred five-b through one hundred five-f of this act
6 shall expire June 30, [2023] 2025.
7 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
