        Introduced  by  Sen.  KAPLAN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
        AN ACT to amend a chapter of the laws of 2021, amending the real proper-
          ty law relating to requiring real estate brokers and  salespersons  to
          receive  implicit bias training as part of their license renewal proc-
          ess, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 538-B and A.  4638-A,
          in relation to the effectiveness thereof
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 2 of a chapter of the laws of  2021,  amending  the
     2  real  property  law relating to requiring real estate brokers and sales-
     3  persons to receive implicit bias  training  as  part  of  their  license
     4  renewal  process,  as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 538-B and
     5  A.  4638-A, is amended to read as follows:
     6    § 2. This act shall take effect [on the  one  hundred  eightieth  day]
     7  nine  months  after it shall have become a law[, provided, however, that
     8  if chapter 392 of the laws of 2019 shall not have  taken  effect  on  or
     9  before such date then this act shall take effect on the same date and in
    10  the same manner as such chapter of the laws of 2019 takes effect].
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
