By requiring the Department of Health to develop educational materials, health care practitioners can be assured they are providing the best practices and guidelines to assist a family to understand living with an individual with Down syndrome. To provide accessible information this bill would be amended to allow the information to be available electronically. Further, representatives meeting on an as necessary basis allows for information to be updated as it becomes relevant. The effective date was changed to one hundred and eighty days to provide the Office with adequate time to assemble resources and provide information electronically.   LEGISLATIVE HISTORY: This is a new bill.   BUDGET IMPLICATIONS: None noted.   EFFECTIVE DATE: The act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that section one of this act shall take effect on the same date and in the same manner as a chapter of the laws of 2024 amending the public health law relating to Down syndrome diagnosis awareness, as proposed in legisla- tive bills numbers S. 593-A and A. 4138-A, takes effect
