  TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the labor law, in relation to increasing the number of members on the farm laborers wage board from three to five   PURPOSE:: This bill would increase the number of members of the farm laborers wage board from three to five and add as additional members the commissioner of agriculture and markets and a representative of the business communi- ty as members   JUSTIFICATION:: The review, consideration, study and eventual decisions of the new farm laborers wage board.Will have a profound influence on the future viabil- ity of agriculture in New York and on the lives of farm workers across the state. The input and knowledge of both the commissioner of agricul- ture and markets and his department and the greater business community, especially the rural business community, can be an invaluable asset to the board as it moves forward with its.assigned tasks.   LEGISLATIVE HISTORY:: New bill.   FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:: None.   EFFECTIVE DATE:: This act shall take effect on the same date and in the same manner as section 22 of chapter 105 of the laws of 2019 takes effect.
