        Introduced  by Sen. CARLUCCI -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Mental Health and Develop-
          mental Disabilities
 
        AN ACT in relation to making available information regarding the process
          for individuals to obtain eligibility  for  services  offered  by  the
          office for people with developmental disabilities
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The front door process. The commissioner of the office  for
     2  people  with  developmental  disabilities  shall  make  available on the
     3  office website, information regarding the  process  for  individuals  to
     4  obtain  eligibility for services and to seek access to services, includ-
     5  ing, but not limited to, residential, respite, employment, habilitation,
     6  and self-directed services. Such information  shall  be  presented  with
     7  flow  charts  or  other  visual  aids  as  determined appropriate by the
     8  commissioner of the office for people with developmental disabilities to
     9  aid in the awareness and understanding of the service delivery process.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day  after  it  shall
    11  have become a law.
