| Provides for the civil commitment of sexually violent predators to protect the public from those whose mental abnormalities render them likely to engage in repeat acts of sexual violence; establishes procedure for identification of a sexually violent predator by the attorney general and the court; the court shall civilly commit a respondent upon release from imprisonment and upon finding probable cause that he or she is a sexually violent predator who shall have the right of a jury trail; provides for the care, treatment and control of sexually violent predators at a secure facility. | |
