“I opposed this bill, and I’m urging my colleagues in the Senate to do the right thing and prevent it from reaching the governor’s desk. We’re a nation of immigrants. We’re also a nation of laws. We shouldn’t be rewarding people who break the law. We shouldn’t be normalizing illegal immigration. Statewide, a majority of New Yorkers oppose this. We should be putting the will of our citizens and taxpayers over catering to illegals,” said Blankenbush.
