“At a time when politics is at the forefront and divisiveness has caused ongoing conflict across the nation, it’s imperative that members of the state Legislature work together to pass legislation to benefit all New Yorkers. Aside from differences in opinion about national politics, most residents in our state want the same things; less taxes, an improved education system, new and repaired infrastructure, and open and transparent government.

“It’s my hope that 2019 will be the year when members of the Legislature put party politics aside and work as joint legislative body. If we begin working across the aisle on issues that truly matter to our constituents, it will be a groundbreaking year for our state.”
