McDonough Discusses Local Government With Fifth-Grade Class At Newbridge Road Elementary

Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) recently spoke with the fifth-grade class at Newbridge Road Elementary about government and the role the assemblyman plays in the community. During the discussion, McDonough shared the similarities and differences between the local, state and federal governments and how they interact to provide the students with the services they rely on each day.

“The fifth graders at Newbridge Road Elementary School were tremendously knowledgeable about the different levels of government and provided an intriguing discussion,” said McDonough. “The students were eager to ask about my job as an assemblyman and hear about the many roles government plays in the world around them. I want to thank all the teachers for providing me the opportunity to speak with them.”
