Recently, Assemblyman Ed Ra (R,C,I-Franklin Square) and Assemblyman Michael Montesano (R,C,I-Glen Head) enjoyed a spirited visit with the North Shore High School Robotics Team. Ra was trusted to take the controls of their sophisticated and impressively nimble robot, “Fran”.

“I want to thank North Shore High School officials, particularly Robotics Team Supervisor Stephen Peroni, for supporting this awesome program,” said Ra. “STEM is the future. The fact that these kids are choosing to spend extracurricular time honing skills that our economy will continue to prize for years to come is fantastic. The fact that they’re having so much fun doing it is a sign that innovative educators find a way to make kids love learning. I wish them the best of luck moving forward.”
