Weprin Donates Hundreds of Toys for Annual Holiday Toy Drive

Richmond Hill, New York – Assemblyman David Weprin continued a holiday tradition this winter by hosting the 24th Assembly District’s 4th annual Holiday Toy Drive to raise donated toys for charitable organizations in the Richmond Hill community including the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens and Heartshare Cuomo First Step Early Childhood Center. Weprin, his constituents, and students and faculty from the Irwin Altman Middle School/MS 172 Q came together to collect hundreds of toys for toddlers, teens, and anybody in between.

The Assemblyman then arranged to have the toys delivered to the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens and Heartshare Cuomo First Step Early Childhood Center for a donation in memory of Jason Mark Weinstein, son of the Honorable Jeremy S. Weinstein of the Supreme Court of Queens County, and grandson of Former Assembly Speaker and Judge Moses Weinstein.

Donated toys were distributed to children at the Boys and Girls Club & Heartshare Center in the week prior to Christmas and Weprin was joined by Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens Chief Executive Officer John DeCristoforo, Judge Jeremy S. Weinstein, HeartShare First Step Early Childhood Center Director of Education Dianne Cattrano.
