“I, myself, along with District Leader Nancy Tong and Charles Ragusa brought a group of veterans and seniors to the Intrepid Museum and USS New York. Following the trip, the group had a great Memorial Day meeting to honor and support our military service men & women & veterans who have served our nation with courage, which was organized by their dynamic UPDC President Nino Magali. At the meeting speakers were Councilman Chaim Deutsch, who is chair of the City Council Veterans Committee, and Councilman Mark Treyger,” said Colton.

“I was proud to attend the Memorial Day event at the United Progressive Democratic Club which was organized by the UPDC President Nino Magali. I also want to thank my colleague Councilman Chaim Deutsch and Assemblyman William Colton for supporting Veterans who gave their ultimate sacrifice. I also want to thank UPDC President Nino Magali, District Leaders Nancy Tong and Charles Ragusa for organizing and sponsoring this event, and those that turned out to support our veterans. Let’s reflect, and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country on this upcoming Memorial Day,” stated Councilman Mark Treyger.

“Today the group had a spectacular time at the USS Intrepid and the USS New York. My daughter had the chance to experience and witness first-hand what Memorial Day is and why we owe our thanks and gratitude to many veterans. Some paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. I would like to give a special thank you to Councilman Chaim Deutsch who sponsored and made our trip possible. It was a great experience for everyone who was able to attend. Following the trip we had very productive meeting to honor and support our veterans for upcoming Memorial Day. Got Freedom! Thank a Veteran!” added UPDC’s President Nino Magali.
