Assemblymember Linda B. Rosenthal Leads Busloads of Upper West Siders to Protest Donald Trump and Congress’ Anti-Women Agenda to Women’s March on Washington

New York, NY – Assemblymember Linda B. Rosenthal (D/WF-Manhattan) will be leading busloads of Upper West Siders to protest President-Elect Trump and the Congressional Majority’s war on women at the January 21, 2017 Women’s March on Washington.

“The language and tenor of remarks about women made by the President during the campaign has instilled a sense of anger and horror in women throughout the country. This march is our way of showing the new Administration that we refuse to let them turn back the clock on our rights,” said Assemblymember Linda B. Rosenthal.

The Women’s March on Washington is a grassroots effort to ensure women’s rights are protected at the local, state and federal levels. Thousands of men and women are expected to descend on Washington, DC, and cities across the world to protest rollbacks to women’s health care, abortion, fight for a fair and decent wage and combat sexual assault and violence against women.

“The new President and members of Congress who believe their mission it is to send women back into the shadows of daily life ought to peer out their windows Saturday morning. The resistance is real,” said Assemblymember Linda B. Rosenthal

Assemblymember Linda B. Rosenthal organized two buses free of charge for her constituents, with three of the Upper West Side’s local groups.
