Brabenec Hosts ‘It Should Be A Law’ Event with Minisink Valley Students

Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R,TCN-Deerpark) reviewed policy proposals and fielded questions from students at Minisink Valley Intermediate School Friday as part of a comprehensive presentation which included patriotic themes for Memorial Day, a band performance and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Brabenec hosted his ‘It Should Be a Law’ event involving about 25 fifth grade students from Mrs. Marcolina’s class. “This entire presentation was extremely well done and involved everything from Memorial Day activities to hearing the student’s public policy proposals,” Brabenec said. “I was so impressed by the enthusiasm of these students, their knowledge of current policy issues and their band’s great performance. It is important to embrace the leaders of tomorrow and listen to their varying perspectives on how they see the world and what issues they see in society and I know these students have bright futures ahead.”
