Brabenec: ‘the Assembly Majority Favor $5.7 Billion Tax Increase’

Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R,C,I-Deerpark) issues a statement on the Assembly Majority’s proposed budget wish-list

“A $5.7 billion tax increase – this is called standing up for the middle-class, according to New York City Politicians.

“No unfunded mandate relief, a failure to make the property tax cap permanent, cuts to veterans programs and a slew of additional taxes on everything from homeownership to renting a car highlight what the Majority think is best for New York.

“If there was any doubt on the dangers of putting New York City Politicians in charge of the whole state, the proof is clear as day.

“Maybe they’ll start taxing moving vans because they’re sure to see a lot of business in the near future.”
