Brook-Krasny Remarks on State Budget Proposal

A Statement from Assemblyman Alec Brook-Krasny (R,C-Coney Island).

“Gov. Hochul has decided to give over $2 billion to pay for housing, health care, education and other services for migrants in our city instead of helping Brooklynites who are struggling each day in the midst of an affordability crisis. This budget proposal even includes lowering the amount our public schools receive as they continue to rebuild in academics and social-growth areas post-COVID. The last thing New Yorkers need is another over-blown budget that doesn’t address their most basic needs. I will continue to fight against this wasteful spending and put the needs of Southern Brooklyn first.”
