Garbarino Appointed to Executive Committee of National Conference of Insurance Legislators
Assemblyman Andrew Garbarino (R,C,I,Ref-Bayport) was recently appointed to the executive committee of the National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL). NCOIL is an organization comprised of legislators who serve on insurance and financial institution committees in their home states.
“I am honored to work closely with my new colleagues at the National Conference of Insurance Legislators to learn ways we can improve policy that will help the interests of New Yorkers,” said Garbarino, who serves on the Assembly Committee on Insurance. “I am looking forward to exchanging ideas on how we can better help our constituents by improving insurance policy with many other legislators from around the country.”
NCOIL members work on matters relating to state regulation of insurance. Its programs are aimed at educating legislators, and provide a public forum on insurance related matters. Garbarino additionally serves NCOIL’s Property and Casualty Committee; Health, Long Term Care & Health Retirement Issues Committee; Worker's Compensation Committee; and the State Federal Relations Committee.
