Garbarino Assigned To Codes Committee
Assemblyman Andrew Garbarino (R,C,I,Ref-Sayville) was newly appointed by Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C,I,Ref-Canandaigua) to the Assembly Committee on Codes, where he will deliberate and review legislation addressing criminal law. Additionally, Garbarino is the Ranking Minority Member on the Racing and Wagering Committee and he sits on the Environmental Conservation, Health, Higher Education, and Insurance Committees.
“I am looking forward to actively reviewing and having input on critical legislation addressing criminal and public safety matters as a member of the Assembly Committee on Codes,” said Garbarino. “This is particularly important to me due to the growing rise of gang activity on Long Island with MS-13. It’s important that we have a perspective on that committee that is tough on crime, and focused on keeping families and communities safe.”
