Goodell Reacts to Cuomo’s 2013 State of the State Address

Assemblyman Andy Goodell (R,C,I-Chautauqua County) yesterday offered mixed reviews on Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s State of the State Address. He voiced support for the governor’s proposal to reform broken systems like workers’ compensation and unemployment, which currently discourage business development in New York State. The assemblyman said the governor was “right on the mark in terms of strengthening our employment programs.” Goodell also praised the governor’s pledge for “no new taxes” but expressed concerns about the lack of details and fiscal impact of some proposed initiatives.
